This is the first Biomimetic Accreditation.

Here is what the program is...

25 Articles

First step is to master 25 core biomimetic articles. We have these core articles ready to go if you need them.  Once you're comfortable with them, there will be a test on these articles.  You can take the test any time or as many times as you'd like.

25 Stress Reduced Direct Composites

Now its time to put into practice your understanding and see your clinical application.  25 separate cases (teeth) are required where you are showing at least one of the steps of a stress reduced direct composite.  Some sort of fiber is required in some of the cases, but doesn't have to be all.  We will randomly select 3 cases for grading.  Grading will be based on the scientific application.

25 Deep Margin Elevations

With this step, we require a pre-op, post-op and some intra procedure photographs. This step will test your application and ingenuity as each deep margin elevation is different from the prior one.   We will also be reviewing caries removal endpoints and peripheral seal zones.

25 Onlays

These can be inlays, onlays, overlays, etc.  Any form of an indirect is acceptable as long as its not a crown or veneer.  We want to see how you treat larger defects on posterior teeth.  This can be endo treated or not, either is fine. You can also do semi-indirect composite onlays or CAD/CAM restorations.  We want to see your process as there are many ways to do an onlay.  We will also be reviewing your bio-base and cementation protocols.
